Choshi Electric Railway will begin commercial operation of the new 22000 series vehicle on March 29.
This series is acquired from Nankai Electric Railway’s 2200 series vehicles. This marks the introduction of new vehicles for the company for the first time in about 8 years, and it is the first acquisition of a used vehicle from a single owner in about 30 years. For the time being, excluding March 30, it will run two round trips in the morning between Choshi and Sotokaifu Stations. Additionally, the “2000 series Deha2001-Kuha2501” introduced in 2010 was retired on March 15.
