Due to operational issues caused by adverse weather conditions, Emirates has extended the suspension of accepting passengers from Dubai until 9 a.m. local time on April 18th.
The suspension, which began at 8 a.m. on April 17th, was initially planned for a shorter period, with only transit passengers being able to use the services during this time. For routes to Japan, flight EK318 to Tokyo/Narita is expected to depart at 4 a.m., one hour and 20 minutes late, flight EK316 to Osaka/Kansai at 4:20 a.m., also one hour and 20 minutes late, and the flight to Tokyo/Haneda is scheduled to leave on time at 7:40 a.m. All of these flights are currently unavailable for passengers except for those connecting.
In Dubai, heavy rain on April 16th caused flooding at the airport and surrounding roads, affecting some flights with cancellations or destination changes.
Dubai International Airport, due to ongoing delays, is asking passengers to confirm the latest information with the airlines and, unless necessary, not to come to the airport. It has been informed that rebooking is not possible at Terminal 1.
