‘Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto’ Soft Opens on July 26th – The Brand’s First Foray into Japan
World Brands Collection Hotels & Resorts and the Banyan Group are soft opening “Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto” on July 26th.
Banyan Tree, the flagship brand of the Banyan Group, is known for offering a premium retreat experience with an all-villa concept. This marks its first venture into Japan.
The building is constructed with one basement and four ground levels. The hotel boasts 52 rooms in 6 different types. All rooms feature a bathtub made of Hinoki wood, with eight rooms offering natural hot springs. The interior design adopts “Hidden Bloom” as its theme, utilizing traditional Japanese materials and crafts for decoration. On-site facilities include Banyan Tree Spa, a public bath with natural hot spring, a Noh stage, signature dining, and bar Ryozen.
In celebration of the soft opening, they are offering a special plan called “BANYAN TREE OPENING EXPERIENCE”. The package includes credits for hotel services (15,000 yen per room per night), a 20% discount voucher for future stays, and a special hotel gift. Additionally, daily replenishment of snacks and light meals in the minibar and a private limousine service for round-trip transportation between the hotel and Kyoto Station are provided. This offer is available until September 1, with the stay period from July 26 until October 31. Prices start at 200,000 yen for two people, including two meals, service charges, and taxes.
The hotel can be accessed by a roughly 10-minute car ride from Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line, or about 15 minutes from Kyoto Station.
