APA Resort Joetsu Myoko Opens Infinity Pool & Barrel Sauna on July 13
APA Resort Joetsu Myoko has started operations of its Infinity Pool & Barrel Sauna from July 13.
The facility is a redevelopment of an old indoor pool. During summer, it serves as a pool, and in spring and autumn, it transforms into a barrel sauna and cold bath. At the infinity pool, visitors can enjoy a view where the western side, facing Mount Myoko, merges with the sky, creating a sensation of floating in mid-air. In the barrel sauna, guests can enjoy a self-service ‘löyly’, with two types of saunas available: one made from Japanese cypress and another from foreign red cedar.
The operating season is from July 1 to August 31 for the summer (pool season) and from June 1 to June 30 and from September 1 to November 15 for spring and autumn (sauna seasons). This season is planned to operate until November 16. The operating hours are in six sessions starting at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM, and 7 PM, each lasting for 1 hour 45 minutes. During the pool season, the price starts at 2,500 yen for adults, from 1,000 yen for children, with infants admitted free. During the sauna season, the price for using a single room starts at 6,000 yen for one person, 8,000 yen for two, 10,500 yen for three, and 12,000 yen for four. All prices are inclusive of tax.
