Batik Air Malaysia Temporarily Suspends Kuala Lumpur-Perth-Auckland Route
Batik Air Malaysia will be suspending its Kuala Lumpur-Perth-Auckland route as of July 19th, due to operational requirements. Customers with bookings have been promised refunds. Subject to regulatory approval, the airline plans to resume direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland starting December.
Batik Air Malaysia regards the New Zealand market as important due to its robust economy and strong cultural ties with Asia-Pacific countries. Datuk Chandran Ramamuthy, CEO, stated that “Switching to direct flights will enhance connectivity and opportunities across our network, improving the travel experience for our passengers.”
