Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is offering a ‘Harvest Afternoon Tea’ that uses seasonal autumn produce such as chestnuts, pumpkins, and sweet potatoes, from September 13 to November 11.
The sweets lineup includes four types: a four-layer ‘sweet potato parfait’ that includes sweet potato cream, a ‘Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc’, a ‘pumpkin rare cheese mousse’ coated with milk chocolate ganache designed to resemble the autumn full moon, among others; in addition to plain scones, chestnut scones made with French chestnut paste, and sweet potato scones mixed with sweet potato paste and topped with a mitarashi-style (sweet soy glaze) flavor. For the savory offerings, dishes like ‘Salmon Cream and Mushroom Tart’ topped with caviar, and ‘Chestnut Cheese Risotto with Red Wine-braised Conger Eel’ that uses roasted chestnuts are prepared.
The location is in the lobby lounge ‘Le Jardin’. The tea is served from noon to 5:30 PM with a 2-hour limit. The price is 7,500 yen for online reservations and 8,500 yen for phone reservations, both including tax but excluding service charges.
