JAL to Offer Boarding Information for International Flights Via LINE
Japan Airlines (JAL) will provide boarding information for international flights through LINE.
LINE, developed by LINE Yahoo, has introduced the corporate feature “LINE Notification Messages” for the aviation industry for the first time, offering guidance based on reservation details.
Until now, JAL only provided a service that notified passengers about the operational status of their scheduled international flights. This allows for guidance tailored to the reservation details, which can be provided the day before departure and on the day itself. The guidance includes operational status of the flight, boarding procedures, notifications for incomplete check-ins, security inspection guidance, and notifications for flight cancellations or delays.
“LINE Notification Messages” is a service that allows users to receive messages without having to add a company’s official account as a friend. The messages delivered are deemed useful and appropriate for the user. It targets those registered with the same telephone number as their LINE account, sending from the account name “JAL Information”.
In the future, it is anticipated to extend to domestic flight passengers, add airport digital maps that show security checkpoint congestion and recommended routes considering the congestion, and guide to web apps that provide airport-specific handling instructions for cancellations and delays timely.
