JAL Group Promotes ‘Dual-Region Living’ Through Use of Miles
The JAL Group is working on promoting ‘dual-region living’ utilizing JAL miles.
In collaboration with Kusu Town, Oita Prefecture, and the Oita Prefectural Credit Union, comprehensive services are provided. The collaborative institutions aim to support participants living in ‘trial living houses’ in Kusu Town over the next three years, ending in fiscal year 2026, as they consider future relocation or permanent residency. The project expects to see about 50 dual-region residents in total, including those in the first year’s pilot test.
This fiscal year, JAL will provide miles equivalent to four round trips per month, Kusu Town will apply a subsidy for mileage expenses and trial living houses, and the Oita Prefectural Credit Union will offer a dedicated mortgage for participants wishing to purchase a residence in the area.
