Hotel Metropolitan Saitama Shintoshin is offering a special accommodation plan that includes views of the last JNR express train, Series 185, from October 14th, 2025 to March 31st, 2025.
The rooms guaranteed for train views are Superior Twin Rooms. Chairs used in the actual train cars have been placed in the room, along with a seat reservation display board on the wall. A dustbin, replicating those installed on the deck of the Series 185, along with specially taken photos of the Series 185, have been displayed. Guests will receive one Series 185 original merchandise per person, including an acrylic stand featuring the front view of the C1 and B6 formations, a ballpoint pen with a simple ‘SERIES185’ design from the C1 formation, and a mechanical pencil with the B6 formation design.
Prices start from 28,000 yen per room for two, including breakfast, service charge, and tax. Reservations can be made through the official website.
