Hoshino Resorts Tomamu will open the ‘Ice Village’ from December 10, 2024, to March 14, 2025.
Spanning 3.2 hectares, the site features 11 domes made of ice and snow. This year, new additions include an ‘Ice Plaza’ where visitors can sit on benches made of ice around a fireplace and a ‘Temperature Tower.’ The Ice Parlor offers frozen cakes and ice cream sodas inspired by the fantastical atmosphere of the Ice Village, while the ‘Ice Bar’ with a bar counter and cellar made of ice serves over 50 types of drinks in ice glasses. An ‘Ice Boutique’ featuring a window display made of ice has also been newly installed, offering coat rentals and accessories themed around ice and temperature-sensitive jewelry that changes color with temperature.
The ‘Ice Hotel’ offers an exclusive overnight experience for one group per day in a room where the ceiling, walls, floor, and furniture are all made of ice, complemented by an outdoor bath surrounded by ice where guests can enjoy the starry sky on clear days. This offer is available from January 20 to February 28, 2025, at a rate of 28,000 yen per person, including tax and service charge.
