Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin is offering a “Christmas Afternoon Tea” from December 1 to 25.
The sweets selection includes “Glühwein Jelly with Red Berries Bellini,” a reinterpretation of the mulled wine as jelly, “Chestnut and Cassis Bûche de Noël,” “Stollen-style Scones” mixed with raisins, dried fruits like oranges, and almonds, “Mini Kugelhopf,” “Ginger Cookies,” among a total of 11 kinds of sweets from around the world. The savory items include open-faced “Smoked Salmon & French Caviar Smørrebrød,” “Demitasse Cup Soup,” “Fried Chicken and Colorful Radish Pinchos,” amounting to five types in total. Drinks come with a choice of three types of black tea, two types of herbal tea, and coffee with free refills.
The location is the ground floor restaurant “Cafe Contrail.” The tea is served from 2 PM to 5 PM, in a 2-hour time slot, and is priced at 4,200 yen including tax and service charge. Limited to 12 persons per day, reservations are accepted from 1 person.
