Japanese Foreign Ministry Lowers Danger Level in Some Areas of Iran
The Japanese Foreign Ministry has lowered the danger level for some areas in Iran.
The areas with lowered danger levels include the city of Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan Province and its surrounding free trade zone, Kerman Province, and the capital city, Tehran. All of which are now classified under level 2 (advisory against non-essential travel).
Following the October attack by Iran on Israel, which did not escalate into further exchanges of attacks and with Iran maintaining internal calm, the danger level for areas increased on August 5th has been lowered.
Moreover, level 4 (evacuation recommendation) continues to be issued for the border regions with Pakistan and the border areas of Kermanshah and Ilam Provinces with Iraq. Excluding the level 4 areas, the border regions with Iraq and Afghanistan remain under level 3 (recommendation against all travel).
