Kansai International Airport to Raise Passenger Service Facility Charges at Terminal 1 from April 2025
Kansai Airports announced an increase in the Passenger Service Facility Charge (PSFC) at Kansai International Airport’s Terminal 1, effective from tickets issued and flights boarded on April 1, 2025.
For international flights, the departure charge will be 3,310 yen for adults (currently 2,780 yen) and 1,660 yen for children (currently 1,390 yen), while the transfer charge will be 660 yen for adults (currently 560 yen) and 330 yen for children (currently 280 yen). For domestic flights, the charge for both departure and arrival will be 560 yen for adults (currently 440 yen) and 280 yen for children (currently 220 yen).
The increase was decided due to the completion of renovation works and the rise in energy prices and labor costs. This marks the first revision for the Terminal 1 international flights since the airport’s opening in 1994, and for domestic flights since they were introduced in 2018, excluding any adjustments due to the consumption tax hike.
As before, the charges will be collected through the on-ticket method, where they are paid together with the airline ticket at the time of purchase.
