Hotel Okura Kobe Reopens Its Japanese Cuisine Restaurant Yamazato To Commemorate Its 35th Anniversary
Hotel Okura Kobe has completed the refurbishment of its Japanese cuisine restaurant Yamazato, which reopened on December 12th.
The renovation involved opening up part of the space that was previously divided by walls and transforming it into a glass wall, integrating it with two other restaurants’ spaces, resulting in a more open and inviting atmosphere. Prior to this renovation, a new signature kaiseki cuisine named “Shirasagi Kaiseki” was introduced in November. It offers a monthly rotating menu featuring deluxe ingredients primarily sourced from Hyogo Prefecture, served in laquered “Kobe bowls” elegantly depicting Kobe Bay. To celebrate the reopening, a special winter lunch featuring a mini hot pot with Kobe pork, among other dishes, will be available until the end of December.
The restaurant serves lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with last orders at 8 PM. It is closed every Wednesday, except on public holidays. Prices are 15,000 yen for Shirasagi Kaiseki and 6,000 yen for the special reopening lunch, including tax and service charges.
