Cosmo Oil Among Four Companies Completes Construction of SAF Production Facility
Cosmo Oil, JGC Holdings, Revo International, and SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY announced the completion of their Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production facility construction on December 25th.
Using 100% waste cooking oil as the raw material, the facility aims to produce and supply 30,000 kiloliters of SAF annually. It has obtained the international sustainability certification, ISCC CORSIA, and is expected to start trial operations in January, with supplies to airlines beginning around April.
The project received funding from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), with JGC Holdings overseeing the entire supply chain construction, Revo International handling raw material procurement, SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY manufacturing Neat SAF, and Cosmo Oil and Cosmo Oil Marketing responsible for producing blended SAF and selling it to consumers.
