Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo will host an afternoon tea event called “Kyo.”
Featuring strawberries as the main attraction, guests can enjoy sweets that blend rich spring flavors with ingredients associated with Kyoto. Some examples from the menu include sweets like “Strawberry and Milk Tea Mousse,” “Strawberry and Vanilla Mousse,” “Strawberry Basket,” “Kyoto Tofu Tiramisu,” “Uji Hojicha Financier,” and savory items like “Kyoto Pork Smoked and Vegetable Tart with Onion Soubise,” “Japanese Beef Hamburger with Flavored Sauce Using Kyo no Kogane Pearl and Kyoto Pickles Accent.” The drinks include “Ogawa Coffee” and free-flowing “Kyoto Wazuka Black Tea Earl Grey Miyabi,” with Uji Hojicha Latte available upon request.
The event will be held on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, as well as March 25, from February 1 to March 30. The venue is the Main Building’s 1st Floor Dining Cafe & Bar “Rondo.” Service hours are from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, requiring reservations two days in advance by 4:00 PM (limited to 30 meals per day). The price is 6,000 yen generally, with a special 5,000 yen rate on March 25 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the hotel’s opening. All prices include tax and service charges.
