
Osaka Metro to Install Face Recognition Gates at Namba Station, Expected to be Available to the Public by End of FY2024
JR East is setting a special rate for “Shinkansen e-Tickets (JRE POINT Offer).”
As part of the “Travel Further with Great Deals! Shinkansen e-Tickets (JRE POINT Offer) for Spring Travel” campaign, the regular 12,110 points for distances over 401 kilometers will be discounted to 8,000 points.
Eligible trains are the Tohoku Shinkansen’s “Hayabusa” and “Yamabiko,” the Akita Shinkansen’s “Komachi,” and the Yamagata Shinkansen’s “Tsubasa.” The applicable stations are limited, with departures and arrivals at Tokyo and Ueno Stations covering the Tohoku Shinkansen between Kurikoma-Kogen and Shin-Aomori Stations, the Akita Shinkansen between Morioka and Akita Stations, and the Yamagata Shinkansen’s Shinjo Station.
The usage period is from March 17 to 31, with the exchange period from 10 a.m. one month before the ride until 4 minutes prior to departure on the day.
