
Chalet Ivy Weiss to Open in April 2025, a 15-Minute Drive from Hirafu Area
Hotel Metropolitan will host the “Spring Festival Buffet” from March 1 to March 14, and the “Spring Vacation Buffet” from March 15 to April 6.
With the concept of “Enjoying the Flavors of Spring,” the hotel’s specialty chefs in Japanese, Western, Chinese cuisines, and desserts will prepare dishes that celebrate the arrival of spring. The menu will feature “Century Egg Tofu,” combining century eggs with various finely chopped vegetables and tofu, “Cabbage Roll Salsiccia” styled as a pot-au-feu with spring ingredients like bamboo shoots, rape blossoms, and Brussels sprouts, “Green Risotto” using seasonal green peas with a clam accent, “Seasonal Fish Plancha” served with spring vegetables, and “Hyuganatsu Citrus and Yogurt Verrine,” among others.
During the Spring Vacation Buffet, additional dishes include “Pan-seared Seasonal Fish with Sakura Shrimp Ravigote Sauce, White Kidney Beans, and Light Spice Ragout,” “Prawn and Broad Bean Risotto with Lobster Sauce” decorated with broad beans and noted for its rich flavor and aroma, and “Pork Plancha with Spring Vegetables and Gorgonzola Cream Sauce,” combining pork with spring vegetables and flavorful Gorgonzola cheese cream sauce. Additionally, the usual tempura will be served with seasonal vegetables like bamboo shoots and rape blossoms, and desserts will feature a limited-time “Raspberry Basque Cheesecake.”
The buffet is located at the all-day dining “Cross Dine.” Service hours for weekday lunch are from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and on weekends and holidays from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 120-minute limit (100-minute limit only during the Spring Vacation Buffet, starting at 11:30 AM and 1:45 PM). Dinner service is from 6 PM to 9 PM on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays from 5 PM to 7 PM and from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with a 120-minute limit.
The cost for the Spring Festival Buffet weekday lunch for adults is 3,900 yen, and 4,500 yen on weekends and holidays; dinner is 4,700 yen on weekdays and 5,600 yen on weekends and holidays. The Spring Vacation Buffet weekday lunch for adults is 4,500 yen, and 5,000 yen on weekends and holidays; dinner is 5,000 yen on weekdays and 6,000 yen on weekends and holidays. All prices include taxes and service charges.
