JW Marriott Hotel Nara is hosting an all-you-can-eat strawberry buffet in collaboration with pastry chef Oriana Tirabassi, titled “Luxurious Strawberry Buffet with Oriana Tirabassi,” on weekends, holidays, and throughout the Golden Week period until May 6.
Pastry chef Oriana Tirabassi and the hotel’s Islam Elkhatib have teamed up to provide a buffet with about 50 items, including sweets, savories, and drinks using seasonal strawberries.
In addition to tasting three brands of strawberries, including the Nara brand strawberry “Kotoka,” offerings include approximately 16 strawberry-centric sweets such as “Strawberry and Rose Tart” harmonizing strawberry and rose flavors, the French traditional sweet “Saint-Honoré Chocolate Strawberry” topped with mini puffs on pastry, Japanese-inspired “Strawberry Sakura Mille Crepe,” “Kotoka S’more Chocolate Dip,” and “Yuzu and Strawberry Financier.” At the live station, “Strawberry Granite,” a cold sorbet topped with a special pesto sauce, will be available. Savory dishes include “Strawberry Risotto with Aged Balsamic,” “Strawberry and Mozzarella Pizza,” “Spaghetti Strawberry Aglio e Olio,” “Strawberry and Tofu Hamburger,” and “Strawberry and Beet Salad,” among 10 selections. Additionally, 25 kinds of drinks themed around strawberries will be served.
The location is the Silk Road Dining on the first floor. Service hours are from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with a 90-minute limit. The price is 6,900 yen for adults and 3,450 yen for children aged 6 to 12, inclusive of tax and service charges.
