Yokohama Royal Park Hotel to Reopen in Fiscal Year 2028 as Marriott’s “Luxury Collection”
Mitsui Fudosan and Haimurubushi are promoting a major renovation project for the island beach resort, Haimurubushi, located in Yaeyama-gun, Okinawa Prefecture, and will reopen on July 15.
The “Main Pool,” a two-level infinity pool approximately 330 square meters in size, is situated near the water’s edge and is equipped with five cabanas and sun loungers. It also features a children’s pool area with a water depth of about 60 centimeters. The “Quiet Pool,” an infinity pool exclusive for those aged 16 and over, is adjacent to a pool bar and will have Japan’s first “SAUNA BLOCK,” a sauna supervised by the sauna creative group TTNE. “The Spa” building will offer treatment menus in a location with a sea view.
The interior of the Center House has been completely renovated, and the restaurants have been updated to include a buffet restaurant “The Buffet,” offering Western, Japanese, and Okinawan cuisine, and a grill restaurant “The Steak & Grill,” featuring meat and seafood from Okinawa Prefecture. Some guest rooms have been refurbished into “Garden Terrace Premium Rooms” where guests can enjoy a 40-square-meter private garden experience. Additionally, new facilities include the “Library Lounge,” which offers live stage performances, and “The Lounge & Bar.” Guests can also participate in experiences such as harvesting seasonal ingredients to enjoy their fresh aroma and taste, pool SUP and meditation under the starry sky, and private tours around Iriomote Island from Kohama Island.
To commemorate the reopening, a special plan is on sale with a limited period and number of rooms, offering a complimentary drink service when using the restaurant, as well as a resort credit worth 15,000 JPY per stay per room for use at the restaurant or spa treatment. The accommodation period is from July 15 to November 30, with reservations already being accepted.
