
Narita Airport Rest House to Close at the End of March
Fauchon Hotel Kyoto is collaborating with Izutsu Yatsuhashi Honpo to offer a “Kyoto-style Collaboration Afternoon Tea,” which features Japanese confectionery ingredients prepared with French techniques, from March 17 to May 6.
Sweets include “Nama Yatsuhashi Strawberry Wrap,” “Yatsuhashi Crunch Chocolate Bar,” “Ogurayama no Haru Strawberry” modeled after a spring mountain in bloom, “Bise Bise Butter Sand Strawberry,” “Yuzu and Strawberry Oiran,” “Japanese-style Parfait with Strawberry and Kuzumochi,” “Chef’s Recommended Macaron.” Scones are available in two varieties: “Plain Scone” and “Cranberry and Strawberry Scone,” served with “Clotted Cream” and “Jam.”
Savories feature “Asparagus Quiche,” “Green Pea and Mascarpone Tartlet with Matcha Flavor,” “Pâté de Campagne with Pickled New Onion Monaka with Sansho Flavor,” “Smoked Salmon and Mizuna with White Miso Mayo Sandwich,” and “Marinated Shrimp with Cherry Blossom Vinegar Strawberry Sauce.” Beverages include “Grand Tea Master’s Special Hybrid Extraction Method Welcome Tea,” as well as free-flowing Fauchon original teas, fruit juices, and coffee.
Additionally, each guest will receive a complimentary box of “Fauchon Yatsuhashi,” a collaboration sweet included in the gourmet bar of the guest rooms, as a souvenir.
The location is on the top floor at “Salon de Thé Fauchon.” Service hours are divided into two-hour sessions from 11 AM to 1 PM, 2 PM to 4 PM, and 5 PM to 10 PM. Prices start at 7,000 yen, including tax and service charges.
