Pakistan Exhibits Pink Rock Salt Theme at Osaka Kansai Expo 2025
Switzerland will exhibit a pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, opening on April 13.
Under the themes of “Life,” “Planet,” and “Augmented Human,” the pavilion will showcase how Switzerland’s innovative strengths contribute to sustainability and human prosperity. The building is designed to be the lightest structure at the venue, with the total weight of the membrane materials for the exhibition structure kept under 300-400 kilograms, only 1% of the traditional building exterior walls.
On the fourth floor, a rooftop bar called Heidi Cafe is equipped with large windows that can be opened and closed. In collaboration with Nestle, it offers sweets and food with a Japanese twist. Examples from the menu include a share plate with raclette cheese, baby potatoes, onions, and a hint of shichimi pepper (2,800 yen), Osaka Swiss hot dog with Swiss veal sausage, fried onions, seaweed, and wasabi mayonnaise (1,950 yen), carrot cheesecake, and seasonal fruit tart (1,100 yen each). A variety of drinks, including Swiss wines, are also available.
The location is Empowerment Zone D-4, operating from 9 AM to 9 PM, no reservation is required, with an average stay time anticipated at 15 minutes.
