ZIPAIR Tokyo Launches Ticket Sales for Summer Schedule on Tokyo/Narita to Vancouver Route
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Transavia have commenced the construction of their first gas-free hangar in collaboration with the construction consortium Visser & Smit Bouw, Croonwolter & dros.
Located in Schiphol East, the old Hangar 10, built in the 1960s, does not meet current standards.
The KLM E&M Tech Center and Transavia Green Base will be built, covering a site area of approximately 14,500 square meters, with a total floor area of about 27,000 square meters. The layout will be sunny and open, with plans to obtain BREEAM certification, an international standard for sustainability and energy efficiency.
This marks the first time KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Transavia have started building a shared hangar, with construction in KLM’s area expected to begin later this year. Operations are anticipated to begin within 2026.
