Emirates has revealed plans to deploy the Airbus A350-900ULR aircraft on its Australia routes.
The airline expects to receive the first unit in the latter half of the year, with a total of five expected by the end of the year. The aircraft will be used on Dubai–Adelaide route EK440/441 starting December 1. If received earlier, deployment may be advanced.
The cabin configuration includes 32 seats in Business Class arranged “1-2-1”, 28 seats in Premium Economy Class arranged “2-3-2”, and 238 seats in Economy Class arranged “3-3-3”, totaling 298 seats.
The Airbus A350-900ULR is an ultra-long-range version of the Airbus A350-900. By increasing fuel capacity from 141,000 liters to 165,000 liters, the maximum takeoff weight becomes 280 tons, extending the flight range to 9,700 nautical miles, and allowing flights over 20 hours, enhancing aerodynamic performance.
