Hawaiian Airlines Unveils Special Livery Aircraft Featuring ‘Lilo & Stitch’
International Airlines Group (IAG) has ordered 53 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing.
The order breakdown includes 32 Boeing 787-10 aircraft for British Airways and 21 Airbus A330-900 aircraft for use by either Aer Lingus, Iberia, or Level. Of these, 35 are for replacement, and Level is intended to replace short-term leased aircraft. Furthermore, there are options for an additional 10 Boeing 787 aircraft and 13 Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
Pending approval at the shareholders’ meeting scheduled for June, deliveries are expected between 2028 and 2033. The move aims to update long-haul fleet with fuel-efficient aircraft and expand operations.
General Electric (GE) engines have been selected for the Boeing 787-10, and Rolls-Royce engines for the Airbus A330-900, each including comprehensive warranty and maintenance packages.
IAG is the holding company for British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Level, and Vueling Airlines.
