Nagano Electric Railway Launches ‘Nagaden Beer Train’ Offering All-You-Can-Drink On-board
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) will suspend rapid train operations on the Keihin–Tohoku Line from May 19 to 21.
For the purpose of reforming maintenance operations, the working hours will be shifted from nighttime to daytime and extended from 220 minutes to 300 minutes. This is expected to reduce nighttime vibration and noise, improve safety, and promote mechanization.
The construction work will take place from around 10:30 a.m. to around 3:30 p.m. on each day. Although trains on the Keihin–Tohoku Line between Tabata and Tamachi stations will operate using the Yamanote Line tracks, the usual number of trains will be maintained.
