
Hoshino Resorts to Open “KAI Zao” Hot Spring Ryokan on October 15
Hotel Okura Kyoto is offering a “Special Anniversary Course” from May 7 through June 30.
This course is served at the teppanyaki restaurant “Tokiwa” and combines seasonal seafood and Kyoto vegetables with Kyoto Prefecture Wagyu beef (black-haired Japanese beef). The menu includes 3 kinds of seasonal small dishes, Kyoto Prefecture Wagyu beef round beef kelp-cured with miso sauce, grilled live abalone, tiger prawn, and Kamo eggplant in “shigi-yaki” style, and a steak of Kyoto Prefecture Wagyu beef, with a choice of 60 grams of fillet or 80 grams of sirloin. It also features seasonal grilled vegetables, a seasonal vegetable salad, the “Traditional Specialty: Garlic Rice,” and dessert.
From June 1 to 7, the main steak portion will be increased to 80 grams for fillet and 100 grams for sirloin. Other hotel restaurants, including the sky restaurant “Pittoresque,” the top lounge “Orizonte,” the Kyoto cuisine restaurant “Irifune,” the café “Lec Court,” and the Chinese restaurant “Tao-Li,” will also offer special menus for the anniversary celebration, such as a buffet featuring hamburg steak made with Yonezawa beef as the main dish, kaiseki incorporating early-summer ingredients, and Western-style dishes.
The venue is the teppanyaki restaurant “Tokiwa” on the 17th floor. Serving hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for dinner. The price is 30,000 yen (tax included).
