Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Completes Renovation in Hawaii, Japan-Operated Resort
Hilton has begun accepting reservations for the Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch, a historic building located directly in front of Buckingham Palace that has been converted into a luxury hotel.
Admiralty Arch has a total floor area of 200,000 square feet. It was commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by Sir Aston Webb, who was also responsible for the façade of Buckingham Palace. While respecting its value as a Grade I listed building, real estate investment firm Reuben Brothers and Hilton have jointly undertaken restoration work. This marks the first time in the building’s history that it will welcome overnight guests.
The hotel offers 114 units in total, including guest rooms, suites, and residences. The residential signature suites, which make up more than half of the inventory, bear names that reflect the building’s naval heritage, such as the Nelson Suite, the St James Residence, and the Victory Residence, named after the warship HMS Victory.
There will be two restaurants: Coreus, serving British coastal cuisine and overseen by Clare Smyth, the only female chef in the United Kingdom with three Michelin stars, and Café Boulud, an all-day dining restaurant by Daniel Boulud.
The event space includes a 3,540-square-foot ballroom featuring a 9-meter antique Murano glass chandelier restored in Rome. The spa will offer private and couples’ treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, and hydrotherapy pool.
Reservations are currently being accepted for stays from March 1, 2027. As the opening date approaches, bookings for earlier dates are expected to become available in stages.
