JR Hokkaido Announces Phased Redevelopment Plan for Sapporo Station Area
JR Kyushu will launch the “Children’s Adventure Pass,” a special ticket for children, and hold a puzzle-solving event, “Solve the Puzzles and Travel Across Kyushu! — A Challenge from Ryogo Matsumaru —,” from July 18 through August 31.
For elementary school students through sixth grade, the pass provides unlimited one-day travel for 100 yen on JR Kyushu local and rapid trains, as well as JR Kyushu Bus scheduled local buses. With the separate purchase of a limited express ticket, holders can also use limited express trains, including the Kyushu Shinkansen, Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen, and D&S Trains. On scheduled buses, the pass is valid across the entire Nogata Line, BRT Hikoboshi Line, Ureshino Line, and Hokusatsu Line.
The pass is valid for one day, with the travel date specified at the time of purchase. It must be purchased by the day before travel. It will be available from June 18 through August 30 via JR Kyushu’s online train reservation service and reserved-seat ticket vending machines at JR Kyushu stations.
The puzzle-solving event is open to everyone, regardless of age or whether they have a Children’s Adventure Pass. Participants will complete missions by progressively solving puzzles placed at stations throughout Kyushu. Prizes will be awarded by lottery according to the level of mission completion. Details of the event and other information are available on the dedicated website.
