Hoshino Resort Bandai Onsen Hotel will be hosting the ‘Akabeko Night Pool’ from July 27 to August 31.
The event is held as part of an effort to familiarize guests with Aizu culture through Akabeko, a traditional papier-mâché doll that has been made in Aizu for 400 years. Two activities, ‘Akabeko Splash Time’ and ‘Akabeko Struck Out’, will be prepared. The entire pool space and water play items will be decorated with Akabeko. Poolside will feature tables, objects, and a DJ photo booth shaped like Akabeko.
The event is open from 6 PM to 10 PM. Admission is free, but available only to guests staying at the hotel.
