Hoshino Resorts has opened ‘OMO5 Hakodate by Hoshino Resorts’ on July 6th.
This is a rebranding of the former Hotel WBF Hakodate Sea God’s Hot Spring. The concept is ‘120% Hakodate’. The hotel offers a total of 245 rooms, including deluxe rooms, bath view twin rooms, and superior twin rooms. For families, groups, or long-term stays, ‘OMO House’ is available with kitchens and washing machines.
For breakfast, a live kitchen inspired by the Goryokaku is set up, offering a buffet that reflects the local food culture. The menu includes seafood bowls with your choice of ingredients, seasonal grilled seafood and vegetables, sushi, tide ramen, and squid stuffed rice.
The OMO base, serving as the hub of the stay, includes OMO Cafe & Bar, neighborhood maps, shops, a post-bath resting area, and an outdoor terrace. At the post-bath resting area, a set of three types of salted fish from Odajima Fishery Food Products and craft beer from ozigibrewing Hakodate Brewery (1,500 yen) is sold.
The hotel intros ‘Go-KINJO’, a service under the OMO brand that supports blending into the city through new discoveries and experiences by learning about the ‘town’ within walking distance from the hotel. Exclusive information on the surroundings not found in guidebooks, gourmet tours, and in-house activities are offered. Facilities include the amber-colored hot spring, work rooms, laundry, and lockers.
An ‘Hakodate Round and Round Free Bus’ exclusive to guests operates, making rounds of the city’s tourist locations approximately every hour from OMO5 Hakodate. Stops include Hakodate Freemarket, Bay Area, Motomachi Area, Hakodate Mountain Ropeway, and Goryokaku.
Access is a 5-minute walk from JR Hakodate Station.
