Air India to Deploy Airbus A350-900 on Delhi-London/Heathrow Route Starting September 1

Air India is set to introduce the Airbus A350-900 aircraft on its Delhi to London/Heathrow route.

Starting September 1, the airline will deploy the aircraft on 14 of its 17 weekly round trips, switching from the Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8. This marks the first time the model will be used on long-haul international flights.

The Airbus A350-900 is outfitted with 28 seats in a ‘1-2-1’ arrangement in Business Class, 24 seats in a ‘2-4-2’ arrangement in Premium Economy, and 264 seats in a ‘3-4-3’ arrangement in Economy Class, totaling 316 seats. This addition will provide 336 extra seats per week.

Air India operates 17 weekly round trips between London/Heathrow and Delhi, and 14 weekly round trips between London/Heathrow and Mumbai, amounting to a total of 31 weekly round trips. Furthermore, it operates 17 weekly round trips between London/Gatwick and five cities in India.
