APA Hotel has opened “APA Hotel ” on December 13th.
The building is 10 stories tall and hosts a total of 156 rooms. It offers various room types, including ‘S-S Connect Twin Rooms’ that can accommodate up to 4 guests by connecting adjacent rooms, ‘Moderate Rooms’ designed for ease of teleworking and web meetings by repositioning desks and TVs, and ‘Sakurajima View Rooms’ that offer views of Kagoshima’s iconic Sakurajima.
The rooms have been updated to allow for charging smartphones and laptops even when the energy-saving card key has been removed, by ensuring power outlets remain operational. Furthermore, the hotel has implemented the “APA Digital Information (ADI)” in five languages to cater to international visitors, universal sockets compatible with nearly every world plug, and signs throughout the hotel making use of 496 pictograms.
On December 10th, a preview stay was held, inviting up to 200 guests. The number of applications received was 4,300, resulting in a competition ratio of about 43 times.
The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the West Exit of Kagoshima Chuo Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen and JR Kagoshima Main Line.
