Keihan Electric Railway will implement timetable revisions on the Keihan Line on March 22.
The affected lines are the Keihan Main Line, Koutou Line, Nakanoshima Line, Katano Line, and Uji Line. The “Local” and “Semi-Express” trains between Yodoyabashi/Nakanoshima and Kayashima stations will run with 4 cars, except for some trains. There will be additional trains during the morning and evening rush hours on weekdays to secure transport capacity and alleviate congestion. Additionally, trains arriving and departing from Demachiyanagi Station will be added to ease congestion during university commuting hours to Kyoto.
The daytime operation pattern will change to approximately 12-minute intervals (currently 15-minute intervals). After the change, “Limited Express”, “Semi-Express”, and “Local” trains will run five times each per hour between Nakanoshima and Kayashima stations. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the “Rapid Limited Express Rakuraku” will operate with four trains each for both inbound and outbound routes (currently four inbound and five outbound trains).
In response to the Osaka/Kansai Expo, temporary “Limited Express” and “Rapid Express” trains mainly departing from and arriving at Nakanoshima Station will be operated. From Nakanoshima Station, Keihan Buses will operate shuttle buses to the venue.
