Japan Airlines retires “JAL Fantastic Journey Express” special livery (B767-300ER JA622J)
Korean Air has ordered seven Airbus A350F freighters.
This was achieved by converting part of its existing Airbus A350-1000 order, marking its first order for the A350F.
The Airbus A350F offers a maximum payload of 111 tons and a maximum range of 8,700 kilometers. It is optimized around industry-standard pallets and containers and features the industry’s largest main-deck cargo door. By incorporating more than 70% advanced materials, its takeoff weight is 46 tons lighter than competing aircraft. Powered by Rolls-Royce XWB97 engines, it can reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40% compared to older Boeing 747F aircraft and by up to 20% compared to competing models.
This brings Korean Air’s total orders for the Airbus A350 family to 33 aircraft. Following the order change, the breakdown is 20 A350-1000s, 7 A350Fs, and 6 A350-900s.
