JALUX has developed an original ice cream, “Salt Vanilla Ice Cream,” which will be served in the international “JAL First Class Lounge” at Tokyo Haneda and Narita airports in Japan.
Responding to recent market trends that show increasing interest in “salt sweets,” the company has adopted a “salt vanilla” flavor, in which a hint of salt adds an accent to the sweetness, creating a clean aftertaste that you will not get tired of. The ice cream is made using salt produced in Okinawa Prefecture, without any added flavoring agents. Instead, vanilla beans are simmered directly from the pod to infuse flavor, enhancing both the rich dairy taste and the saltiness.
The serving period runs from March 1 through May 31.
