Japan Airlines (JAL) will begin selling “Single Malt Kanosuke JAL EXCLUSIVE DuMOL CASK FINISH” from March 1.
JAL sells “Japanese craft whisky” produced at craft distilleries located throughout Japan, with the aim of encouraging customers to visit various regions of Japan through these tasting experiences and to create relationships and connections through travel.
“Single Malt Kanosuke JAL EXCLUSIVE DuMOL CASK FINISH” is a Japanese craft whisky, “Single Malt Kanosuke,” that has been cask-finished using Pinot Noir barrels procured from the DuMOL winery in Sonoma, California, USA.
It will be available through the advance order service for international First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as via the “In-flight Shopping at Home” service on both international and domestic flights. Purchasers will receive a complimentary “Distillery Tour – One Free Tasting Drink Ticket” that can be used at the Kanosuke Distillery in Japan.
The price is 29,700 yen (tax included) through the “In-flight Shopping at Home” service, and 27,000 yen (duty-free) via the advance order service. The sales period runs from March 1 to April 30 (departure date), and up to two bottles can be purchased per flight.
It will also be served at “JAL’s SALON” inside the JAL First Class Lounges for international flights at Tokyo Haneda Airport and Narita International Airport in Japan.
