Qatar Airways Temporarily Suspends Doha Flights After Closure of Qatari Airspace
Japan Airlines (JAL) is providing accommodation support for travelers stranded in Doha, Qatar.
JAL operates the Tokyo/Haneda–Doha route, which is the only Middle East route operated by a Japanese airline. For passengers on flight JL50 from Doha on March 1, which was canceled, and those stranded in Doha after arriving on flight JL59 from Tokyo/Haneda on February 28, JAL plans to cover their accommodation expenses. The upper limit for expense claims will be handled flexibly depending on the circumstances. JAL has already decided to cancel flight JL50 from Doha through the March 4 departure.
Qatar Airways is, as much as possible, issuing hotel vouchers and guiding passengers to accommodation facilities at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The airline will update its operational outlook at 9:00 a.m. local time on March 2.
