Star Flyer Expands In-flight Pet Companion Service to All Domestic Routes Starting Today
Starting January 15, Star Flyer has expanded its in-flight pet companion service ‘FLY WITH PET!’ to all domestic routes.
The ‘FLY WITH PET!’ service was initially launched on March 27, 2022, as the first of its kind for domestic scheduled flights in Japan. It is aimed at small dogs and cats that fit within a pet cage measuring no more than 40 cm in height, 40 cm in width, and 50 cm in length. To qualify for the service, pets must be in good health, well-behaved, and trained to ensure they do not disturb other passengers with noises such as barking or meowing. The fee for the service is 50,000 yen per pet. Up to two pets are allowed per flight, with a limit of one pet per passenger.
Reservations are currently being accepted for flights up to March 30. Details for flights from March 31 onwards will be announced on the website.
