Starlux Airlines will launch a new route between Sapporo/Chitose and Taichung on October 2.
The airline will operate five round trips per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The route will be served with Airbus A321neo aircraft configured with a total of 188 seats, including 8 business class seats and 180 economy class seats. Flight time is 4 hours 25 minutes from Sapporo/Chitose and 3 hours 55 minutes from Taichung.
Starlux Airlines currently operates one round-trip flight per day on the Sapporo/Chitose – Taipei/Taoyuan route. The new service will be the only nonstop flight connecting Hokkaido and central Taiwan, enabling itineraries that combine multiple cities by using both routes.
Taichung, in central Taiwan, offers convenient access to nature-rich tourist destinations such as Sun Moon Lake, Alishan, and Gaomei Wetlands.
