Docomo Bike Share has resumed services nationwide.
The service had been suspended nationwide from around 2:30 p.m. on August 4, as the company worked to restore service following a system malfunction that made it impossible or difficult for users to access the service. Operations were subsequently resumed in stages.
Following a system upgrade, Docomo Bike Share had experienced issues including failures to complete bicycle return procedures and fare plans not being applied correctly. The company had planned to change its service specifications on August 1 and renew its brand on September 1.
The “Convenience Store Pass” is unavailable, as are some joint ports operated with OpenStreet in the Yokohama area. The company is proceeding with refunds for affected users.
