Hoshino Resorts to Open “KAI Akiu” in Miyagi Prefecture on April 25, 2024
Hoshino Resorts is set to open “KAI Akiu” on April 25, 2024.
This resort is a rebranding of the former Hotel Kiyosui and marks the first entry of the “KAI” hot spring inn brand in Miyagi Prefecture. The resort will feature 49 rooms including Japanese-style rooms with a capacity of 2, 3, or 4 people, special rooms, and pet-friendly rooms. The facility will also include a large communal bath, a terrace, and a travel library.
Dinner will be served in semi-private dining areas, featuring kaiseki cuisine inspired by the meals of feudal lords. Offerings will include beef tongue, “Gyū no San-Kai Tawara Nabe” (beef pot dish), and “Hōraku Mori” (assorted delicacies).
The resort is accessible by a 30-minute car ride from JR Sendai Station or a 45-minute car ride from Sendai Airport.
