The Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel is offering a ‘Matcha and Melon Afternoon Tea’ exclusively on weekdays from June 3rd to 28th.
The hotel changes the theme seasonally, and for June, it offers a menu that fully enjoys the season’s melons and matcha. The afternoon tea includes eleven types of sweets and savories such as a bite-sized melon pie, mini parfait of melon and cream cheese, scones with matcha and Hokkaido azuki beans, and marinated shrimp with matcha basil sauce. Drinks include a free flow of nine types such as four kinds of TWG Tea (1837 Black Tea, Earl Grey Tea, English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla Bourbon Tea), iced tea, and coffee.
As a welcome service, they offer an original drink ‘Les Thés Verts’ based on the rich flavor of green tea enjoyed with the sweetness of melon, accompanied by a welcome plate topped with three kinds of savories.
The afternoon tea is served on the 5th floor at Captain’s Grill and Bar, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, in a two-hour slot. The price is 4,200 yen, including service charge and tax, available for a limit of three groups of six people each day. A reservation in advance is required.
