United Airlines will introduce new amenities from TheraBody and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The amenity kits, which include TheraBody eye serum, face spray, hand cream, and cleansing towels, will be offered onboard and will feature wellness videos. The United Polaris Lounge will feature a semi-private “Reset Suite” with loungers, TheraGun and Recovery Air Jet Boots.
Saks Fifth Avenue’s new bedding will be made from recycled plastic and will feature large and gel pillows and duvets, as well as a limited edition day blanket by fashion designer Claude Camenis, who was named one of the most influential black designers of 2023.
According to the survey, 82% of international travelers value sleep on flights, and 91% said they book flights with sleep in mind. More than 60% of respondents said that sleeping on the flight was more important than having access to Wi-Fi, watching their favorite programs, and drink service.
In response to the surge in international travel, international flight bookings are up 20% year over year, particularly in premium cabins, which are up 30% year over year, according to the company. The airline serves more than 130 overseas destinations and has the largest number of destinations of any U.S. airline on trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic routes.
