SWISS International Air Lines, in partnership with the Swiss Federal Railways, has expanded its ‘SWISS Air Rail’ service to include Geneva Airport.
Train services are now available between Lausanne, Fribourg, Bern stations and flights departing from Geneva Airport. With this addition, the network encompasses 11 cities, linking Geneva and Zurich airport stations to Fribourg, Bern, Interlaken, Lausanne, Lucerne, Lugano, Bellinzona, Basel, Munich in Germany, and Bregenz in Austria.
SWISS Air Rail offers combined travel arrangements of flights and trains, expanding the choices for travelers. In case of delays on trains or flights, alternate arrangements are provided. Train tickets are equipped with QR codes for easy checking.
Future plans include providing information on alternative options in case of disruptions and selling the ‘Swiss Travel Pass’ on SWISS International Air Lines’ website to further enhance cooperation.
