Vietnam Airlines has operated charter flights on the Sapporo/Chitose-Van Don route.
On November 16th, flights were operated from Hanoi to Sapporo/Chitose and Sapporo/Chitose to Van Don, and on November 20th from Van Don to Sapporo/Chitose and Sapporo/Chitose to Hanoi, totaling two round trips connecting Sapporo/Chitose and Vietnam.
The charter flights coincided with the Hokkaido Festival held in Halong City, Quang Ninh Province where Van Don is located, from November 17th to 19th. From Sapporo/Chitose, the Governor of Hokkaido, Naomichi Suzuki, exhibitors, and 255 passengers were onboard.
