Star Flyer is set to expand its in-flight pet service ‘FLY WITH PET!’ to all domestic routes starting January 15, 2024.
The ‘FLY WITH PET!’ service began on March 27, 2022, as a first for domestic scheduled flights in Japan. It caters to small dogs and cats that fit within a pet cage with dimensions not exceeding 40cm in height, 40cm in width, and 50cm in length. The animals must be in good health, well-trained, and have been trained not to be a nuisance to other passengers with barking and such. The fee is 50,000 yen per pet. A maximum of two pets are allowed per flight, and each passenger can bring one pet.
Reservations will be accepted from December 1, for flights from January 15 to March 30, 2024. Bookings for flights after March 31, 2024, will be announced on the website.
