All Nippon Airways (ANA) will implement special handling for all domestic flights on May 5th as well, providing changes and refunds without any processing fees.
This follows the closure of a runway due to a collision and subsequent fire involving Japan Airlines (JAL) flight 516 from Sapporo/Chitose to Tokyo/Haneda and a Japan Coast Guard aircraft on May 2nd. Special measures have been taken since May 3rd.
Due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on May 1st, flights to and from Noto are also being handled with changes and refunds without fees for all flights until May 31st.
