JR East to Operate Overnight Trains on 7 Lines in the Tokyo Area from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day
Hokuriku Shinkansen Station Preview Events Scheduled for January 20 and 27
Fukui Prefecture and related local governments are set to hold preview events for the newly opening station buildings of the four Hokuriku Shinkansen stations within the prefecture.
Fukui Station will hold its event on January 20 from 9 a.m. to noon, Tsuruga Station from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the same day, Echizen-Takefu Station on January 27 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Awara Onsen Station from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the same day.
The number of participants is expected to be around 200 to 500 people per hour for each station, and tickets with designated times will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will be able to tour the stations following a predetermined route.
On January 27 and 28, an event celebrating 50 days before the opening will be held at the Fukui Prefectural Industrial Hall. The event includes a mini-concert by Electone player 826aska, a greeting with Fukui’s support Pokémon “Dragonite,” a handshake event with Shinkalion, and a chance to experience the GranClass seats of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
