Etihad Airways to Revamp Etihad Guest in June, Reducing the Number of Required Miles for Rewards

Etihad Airways is set to refresh its mileage program, “Etihad Guest,” in June.

The update will also make upgrades to The Residence possible, and introduces a new rank, “Diamond.”

Custom benefits selectable by members include two for Silver, four for Gold, and five for Platinum members. Options include lounge passes and bonus miles. Platinum and Diamond members can choose their own membership number.

For some routes, the required miles for reward tickets in Economy and Business Class have been reduced. For instance, the route from Abu Dhabi to London in Economy Class now requires 30,000 miles, and Abu Dhabi to Milan in Economy Class requires 25,000 miles, approximately 30% less than before.
